NO SCHOOL on Thurs, Fri and Mon (16, 17 and 20 Aug)

Hello all! :o)
A piece of good news (or not-so-good news, depending on how you choose to look at it)...

All primary school pupils will stay home this Thursday and Friday. Pupils taking the PSLE will sit for their oral exams over these two days. As this is a national exam, all teachers will be deployed to facilitate it. Please do remember to keep your daughters away from school. Monday, 20 Aug is also a public holiday, hence school is closed. All pupils will report back to school on Tuesday, 21 Aug. Have a GREAT long weekend!!
P.S. If your daughter takes ballet lessons in school with Ms Ho on Thursdays or Fridays, please contact her for more information.

Info about 8 August (National Day Celebations)

Please note that pupils may be dressed in red and white tomorrow. After all, we're celebrating National Day! All pupils will be dismissed at 10a.m. There will not be any lessons, but pupils are required to bring with them their pencil case and coloured pencils. It is also a good idea for them to bring along a bottle of water. As pupils are going home early tomorrow, there is no recess scheduled.

Project Click (1 August 2012)

Please note that all P1 pupils will remain home tomorrow for Project Click. Log onto MC Online for lessons. All Project Click assignments must be completed tomorrow. Have a good day at home and see you in school on Thursday! :o)

Racial Harmony Day 2012

On Friday, 20 July 2012, schools all over Singapore celebrated Racial Harmony Day. It was no different at CHIJ Katong. Our girls were very excited to be in their pretty ethnic outfits. They participated in various activities which helped them learn about the different cultural groups present in Singapore. Here are some of the moments I managed to capture. I Scream, You Scream, We all scream for ICE CREAM!

At 9.10a.m. this morning, MO1 and several other P1 classes made their way to the school canteen. This was the moment the girls had been waiting for. Why? 3 words - ICE CREAM PARTY!!!

I could write a recount of what transpired, but I think these pictures say it all. Enjoy! :D

It was sticky and messy. And the girls would do it again in a heartbeat. Till next time... God Bless!
