Learning Journey to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

Good evening. :o)

Well, it certainly was an exhausting Thursday morning. We left the school for the Jacob Ballas Children's Gardens at approximately 8.45 a.m. Thankfully, God blessed us with good excursion weather and kept us all safe. Our girls were quite thrilled about the trip. They were squealing in excitement when they caught sight of squirrels scampering up and down the trees. I think all will be pleased to know that our girls behaved themselves. I'm quite proud of them. I would like to thank Mdm Shireen for helping with the excursion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Here are some pictures from today.

MO1 pupils, rest well. See you bright and early tomorrow morning!

Excursion Preparations

Hello MO1 pupils and parents :o),
Since we're off for an excursion tomorrow, please do take note of the following points:

1. Pupils are to be dressed in their PE attire. No pinafore is necessary.
2. Have an umbrella or raincoat ready in case of rain.
3. If it's bright and sunny, a hat might be needed.
4. Bring along the school journal, pencil case, a clipboard (optional), a snack and a bottle of water and some money (for a short break when we return to school).
5. School hours are the same tomorrow. There is no change.

Those who would like to stick an insect repellent tag on their clothing may do so.

There'll be lots to see and do tomorrow! Rest well tonight!

Arts Week

Happy Tuesday to all! :o)
Thought I'd share what our girls were up to today.

In conjuction with Arts Week, our Pri 1 pupils were invited to dress up as characters from the stories we've read in class. 8 girls participated. We had 7 girls dressed as Mrs Wishy Washy and 1 girl dressed as the farmer from The Farm Concert. They went from class to class introducing their characters. I must say, they had a blast!

Here they are!

In addition to the above activity, there was also an On The Spot Art Competition. All pupils drew pictures according to the theme, 'Science is Everywhere!' I did not manage to take pictures of all the art pieces from MO1. Here's what I did manage to capture...

MO1 pupils, I'll see you in school tomorrow! :o)

The pictures below were snapped on Friday, 23 March. My pupils were making a cheese sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the session! Tummies were also filled. :o)

Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm the Form Mistress of Mocha 1 at CHIJ Katong Primary School. If you're reading this, you must be either a Mocha 1 pupil or parent. :o)

I decided to start this blog for the benefit of all of us. Pupils, parents and myself. Here, you will find pictures of pupils in action during lessons, important information and some not-so-important, but fun, notes.

Pupils of MO1, do note that you are still required to take down important notes in your school journal. It's a habit you have to pick up.

I hope all of you enjoy reading this blog.
